WHAT TO DO AND SEE

WILDLIFE

There is an abundance of wildlife on our property and if you hear any noises in the night, it will most likely be possums and sugar gliders.  They live in the trees on the property and feed at night and if you are quiet and have a torch you have a good chance of catching a glimpse.  We also have Australian land mullets (large lizards) and Koala’s that live on the property, along with our resident kookaburras and many other native birds.

ONE MILE BEACH

One Mile Beach is a 5-minute stroll across Gan Gan Road and is a patrolled surf and swimming beach.  The lifeguards are at One Mile over school holidays between 8am and 7pm and other times of the year between 10am and 4pm.

SURF LESSONS

Ever wanted to learn to surf but just didn’t know how to go about it??  Anna Bay Surf School is located directly across the road at One Mile Beach.  Lessons are with small groups so you don’t have to fight for you wave!!  Accredited instructors and a fantastic time is guaranteed!  Surf hire is also available.

GOLF

There are several excellent golf courses in the area if you would like to bring your clubs for a hit – Nelson Bay Golf Course, Horizons, The Palms and there is even a mini golf complex that incorporates a full 9 hole course – David Graham’s Golf Complex.

Why not bring a torch to go night spotlighting for wildlife. There is plenty of open space on our grounds, for those that play cricket or ball games.  There are numerous walking tracks in the area for orienteering and loads of water activities, rock climbing, tours and rides for the brave hearted.  There are 23 beautiful beaches in the Port Stephen’s area and you are sure to find one that you like.
